S'Arenal Gran beach

Location: Located in the tourist centre of Portinatx, 8km. from Sant Joan and 31km. from Ibiza town. It is accessed by the road C-733 from Ibiza town to Portinatx. The access to this beach is easy and there are public parking areas near the beach.

Description: “S'Arenal Gran” is the broadest beach of Portinatx. The sand is white and its waters are very clear. It has a lenght of 125 m. and one average of 55 m wide. Because of its situation, the beach recives a high number of visitors. It is united to the beach of “S'Arenal Petit” by a promenade formed by shops, bars and restaurants. Situated in the tourist centre of Portinatx, there is available a wide range of tourist services. The beach is ideal for families with children and elderly people.

Services: Services offered to visitors on the beach include sunbeds and sunshades to hire, public showers, access for disabled people; as well as first aid and rescue services from June to September.

Activities on the beach: Visitors can rent pedalos and motor boats, and also practice water skiing and ski bus. Enjoy outlets in a Glass Bottom Boat that allow  admiring the underwater funds in the area, as well as  an small water park.

Alternative activities: for trekking lovers there is the possibility to make the hiking trail number 2  that unites Sant Joan and Portinatx. The route offers 3 different possibilities: The one that goes to the Port of Portinatx is 2.1. The route 2.2 ranging to Cala d'en Serra through lighthouse des Moscater and Caló des Pouet and path 2.3 that goes to the old Tower Defence of Portinatx.
