Puerto de Portinatx

Location: Located 9 km from Sant Joan and 30 km from Ibiza town. Its access is on the road to Portinatx, (C-733), being the last of the three beaches placed along these resort.

Description: The beach “Port  de Portinatx” stands out as a nearly square about 40m. long and 35m. wide beach, the sand is quite fine. The seabed has the same appearance, with some vegetation, rock areas and some marine fauna. In addition there are shallow soft progression. “Port de Portinatx” is an important tourist and urban core where the visitor can cover practically all his needs. There are also several types of accommodation.

Services: Services offered to visitors on the beach include rental of sun loungers and sunshades. The visitor will also find public shower, restaurants and bars as well as a diving school for those who love practising this sport.

Activities on the beach: It offers the possibility to rent pedalos.

Alternative activities: because of the sea bed’s vegetation and fauna , diving is suitable in this area. From this beach you can visit the lighthouse called “Faro des Moscater” through a small stroll along a path that runs parallel to the coast.

For trekking lovers there is the possibility to do number 2 hiking trail which links Portinatx and Sant Joan, the route that passes through the Port of Portinatx is 2.1. Existing also two routes more: route 2.2 ranging to Cala d'en Serra through the “Faro des Moscater” and “Es Caló des Pouet”. There is also the possibility to visit the Portinatx old Defence Tower taking the route 2.3. For more information please search “walking routes”.
