Puerto de San Miguel beach

Location: Located 4 km from the town of Sant Miquel, 11,9 km from Sant Joan and 18,6 km from Ibiza town. Once arrived to the town from the PM-804 road you must turn to the right following the indicative signal to the Port of Sant Miquel.

Description: “Port de Sant Miquel” is a beach with 110 m lenght and 68 m wide. The visitor will find the sand of the beach of a thick type and clear waters. In addition, this beach is immersed in a large natural Bay which lies between two lush hills of pine, with designated areas for the output of fishing boats and pleasure boats. “Port de Sant Miquel” is also a tourist resort. On the right can be found hotel complexes built on the slope of the mountain in the early 1970s. Very close to “Port of Sant Miquel” is the “Can Marçà” cave, as well as very attractive coves because its virgin state, such as “Es Caló des Moltons” and “Es Pas de s'Illa des Bosc”.  

Services: Services offered to visitors on the beach include sunshades and sunbeds rental, shower, access for disabled people, rescue and first aid service between June and September; as well as restaurants, bars, supermarkets, etc. In addition, next to the access to the beach there is a large parking area, and a playground.

Activities on the beach: there is the possibility of rent pedalos, canoes, small motor boats,  practice water skiing or enjoy going around the bay on ski bus.

Alternative activities: “Can Marçà” cave is located a few meters from the beach in a natural environment, with the islands of Murada and Ferradura in front. The cave of Can Marçà is known for being a refuge for pirates, and smugglers. Along its 8.500 meters, has numerous formations in its cavity: stalactites, stalagmites, columns and rooms as the one of the entrance, the temple, Buddha's room or the cascade room.

For hiking enthusiasts, routes number 5 and 6 pass through the Port de Sant Miquel. Route number 5 unite the Port of Sant Miquel with Benirràs passing through Can Marçà. Number 6 that links Sant Miquel's village with Port de Sant Miquel. You can choose between 3 different itineraries while doing the sixth route: 6.1 passing trought “Es Pas de S'Illa des Bosc” and “ Sa Torre des Molar”. The 6.2 which ends in the viewpoint of  “Punta sa Creu”; and 6.3 that leads to “es Portitxol” passing trought the urbanization called “Illa Blanca”.
