Cala San Vicente beach

Location: Located 9km. from San Juan and 31km. from Ibiza. From San Juan is accessed by car or bus through the road (PM-811) that crosses the town on the right hand throughout 9 km, well signposted.

Description: Cala Sant Vicent stands out as a wide Beach, (390 meters long and 90 meters wide). It contains sand extracted from submarine banks and the water is very clear. There is a walkway that runs along the beach throughout the service area, where visitors will find restaurants, bars, shops of souvenirs and gifts, as well as two major hotels. Nearby the access to the beach there are two public parking areas. Located in the north-east corner, we find the urbanization of “Punta Grossa”.

Services: The beach offers to visitors a large choice of services such as sun beds and sun-umbrellas (through payment), wooden gateways until wet sand, public showers adapted for disabled people, amphibious chair; as well as service of rescue and lifesaving from June to September.

Activities on the beach: It offers the possibility to rent sailing and motor boats, canoes, and make courses of water skiing and ski bus. There is also installed a wire network of volleyball.

Other activities: For those who would like to know a bit more of ancient cultures settled in Ibiza, it is available to visit the cave of “Es Culleram” located 3,5 km far from the Beach Road. Apart from a pre-historical period – when the cave was probably the home of a inhabitants group of the bronze age and which seems not to have continuity until the Phoenician-Punic period – since V bC century, the cave became a Sanctuary first dedicated to Reseph-Melkart and after, on III and II century, to Tanit.
For hiking enthusiasts there is the possibility to do the hiking trail number 1 that unites “Sant Joan” and “Cala Sant Vicent”, it also passes thought “ Es Culleram”, “ Es Caló des Moltons” and “Ses Formigues” for those who venture to the variant 1.1 path.
